While in bed last night, I thought of a sad song that I like: the theme song from “The Incredible Hulk” tv show from the 70’s. Instrumental music, and maybe piano music in general, has the ability to stir up feelings of melancholy, sadness, nostalgia in me, maybe because without words, the those feelings remain more elusive, which is, for me, the character that makes those feelings what they are.
I was born in the 70s, which, to me, looked and felt like a sad time, so i can really vibe with that feeling and find lots of music to reflect that.
